Open Donations and Christmas Party – Rotary Club of Lagos Palmgrove Estate

Compassionate Orphanage, Alimosho, Lagos & Finger of God Orphanage, Governor Road, Egbeda. Lagos.

This outreach was organized by CCC in partnership with the Rotary club of Lagos Palmgrove Estate.

The main objective of this outreach is to reach 55 children with Donation of items such as clothes, Exercise Books, milk, yoghurt, Biscuits, Biros, pencils, food, drinks, Educative Toys. The outreach provided access to Educational materials, clothes and Christmas party for the children.

The Open Donation project was broken down into two significant stages

STAGE 1 – Meeting

Meeting with the coordinators for the two orphanages- Finger of God orphanage and Compassionate orphanages in the outskirts of Lagos.  The meeting held on 9/12/2023, it had in attendance Project officer, Ruhamah ifere, CCC Volunteer, Pelumi Priscilla, Finger of God orphanage coordinator, Mr Dominic and Compassionate Orphanage Coordinator, Mr Goldman. The meeting lasted for 2 hours. The purpose of the meeting was to inform and get permission from the two selected orphanages after scouting from four orphanages visited. Permission was granted to visit and donate and also host Christmas party.

STAGE 2 – Outreach & Christmas party

The outreach started at 10:50am in Finger of God orphanage, Governor Road where donations and pep talks were given to boys and then followed by pictures. Items donated were 3 Cartons of Clothes, 2 Packs of Pencils, 1 Pack of Yoghurt, 1 Pack of Milk, ½ Pack of Book, 1 Pack of Biro, 2 Cartons of Biscuits, Toys, Food, Minerals, And Water to Finger of God orphanage. 43 children and 15 staff benefited from this outreach at Finger of God Orphanage

The next outreach started at 12pm in Compassionate orphanage, Alimosho where donations was given, and a Santa Claus themed party was executed. This ended at 2 pm. Items donated were 6 Cartons of Clothes, 8 Packs of Pencils, 4 Cartons of Yoghurt, 2 Cartons of Milk, Toys, 2 Packs of Books, 2 Packs of Biro, 3 Cartons of Biscuits, Mops, Buckets, Waste Bin, Buckets, Hangars, Food, Minerals, Water to compassionate orphanage. 12 boys and 5 staff benefited from this outreach at Compassionate orphanage.

2 CCC VOLUNTEERS & 1 staff were available on ground to make this outreach a success and very eventful.
