ANNUAL INTER- PRIMARY SCHOOL SPELLING COMPETITION

EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH

Imo Methodist Primary school, Abeokuta.

To commemorate the Children day through an inter public primary school debate competition for 49 schools in Abeokuta. This way, we encourage the students to learn new words, broaden their vocabulary, and expose them to larger platforms.

The objectives of this webinar were to:

• To promote literacy skills of primary school students.
• To celebrate the children day with children.

In partnership with children empowerment Funds, we implemented an Inter public primary school spelling competition in Abeokuta. This held on the 27th day of May, 2024 in Imo Methodist Primary school, Abeokuta.

The spelling competition lasted for 2 hours with the Pronouncer drilling the spelling representatives with words and the project manager, caring community creator, Ruhamah Ifere, acting as adjudicator. This lasted for five intense rounds.

Three winners emerged. Our lady of Apostle- 1st (22 points). Baptist Nursery and Primary School- 2nd (9 points), St Andrew Anglican- 3rd (5 points).

The event rounded up with gifts awards and pictures. Caring Community Creators, Children Empowerment Fund, 1 Volunteers and 1 Staff this outreach a success and 49 children benefitted.
